This is a small wooded tableland, covered mostly with Pinus sylvestris L. and Quercus petraea (Mattuschka) Liebl. Rather steep slopes mark the boundaries of the biotope. The area is intermingled with a series of hollows of various size and generated by the erosion and abrasion of the glaciers. These hollows host peat-bogs, marshes and small lakes; some peat-bogs are covered with Scotch pines (Molinio-Pinetum association) and pubescent birches (Vaccinio uliginosi-Betuletum pubescentis).
