The biotope is a marshy area on the northern shores of Lago della Serraia, with damp and marshy meadows such as Filipendulo-Epilobietwn hirsuti, Lysimachio-Filipenduletum, Scirpetwn sylvatici and Chaerophyllo hirsuti-Filipenduletum.
