Every year, on 1st May, this profession (or art) which has almost disappeared is brought back to life thanks to "Via del Carbone", an event organized by the Hunters' Committee of Sassetta under the patronage of the Municipality of Sassetta, Comunità Montana Colline Metallifere, Provincia di Livorno, and Circondario della Val di Cornia.
