Features: mixed bread with corn and wheat flour, with a spicy taste and a pleasant perfume of garlic, aromatic plants, and olives. Produced in small sizes (diameter of 20-22cm), round, with a smooth and dark crust. Inside, it is characterized by a beautiful golden yellow color.
Ingredients: corn flour, wheat flour, black olives with stone, chilli pepper, garlic, sage, rosemary, yeast, and a lot of extra-virgin olive oil.
Marocco bread is a delicious kind of bread served as appetizer. It is excellent alone, together with Candia Doc wine of Colli Apuani. Ideal with Montignoso ham, a small sausage that can be eaten raw, and with the local biroldo.
Marocco bread of Montignoso is produced two days a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and sold in the bakeries producing it and in some shops in the Municipality of Massa.
