At School in the Wood - School Year 2011/2012
Wonders and secrets of nature a few steps from the town
The proposals of the Visitor Center aim at promoting the knowledge of the Park area, reflecting on the importance to have a protected area next to the urban center, stimulating knowledge processes regarding oneself and the relationships with the others and with the environment. The central elements our proposals focus on are not only objects of study (the territory and its elements), but also its subjects (pupils, classes, and teachers) who, participating in person, influence the activities and their results. For this reason, the starting point for every project is the motivation and training contract stage.
We will pay attention both to the contents (disciplinary and transversal knowledge) and to the learning processes (mental structures, foreknowledge, and personal experience).
The didactic proposals consist of classroom meetings and outdoor activities organized in agreement with the teachers.
