A route around Gola della Rossa leaving from the Park Head Offices, to discover the calcareous rocks emerging from the sinuous Esino, the luminous valleys, the cavities that have protected ancestors, saints, and brigands. Maybe for these reasons it is well protected by prohibitions, gates, and video cameras. Fortunately, there is someone who will explain it to the tourist. So, let's start our journey along this fascinating ring-route going downhill to the SS road, runs along Esino, climbs across woodlands and breathtaking ridges until the panoramic slopes going down to Grottafucile. Between well-established negligence and attempts to remedy, here you will always have the mysterious feeling to have found something precious. Down again, not along the cliffs of the quarry, take a large track towards the Gola. Behind the blinding and dusty amphitheater, in front of the comforting light of the forest covering the valley, Vernino, dominating everything. On the right side, a series of shaped rocks invites you to climb towards them. And up there, almost at the top, the homonymous Cave. Beyond it, a delicate passage and a demanding scree to enjoy afterwards a delicious trail leading to the meadows under one of the most panoramic summits of the Park: Mt. Murano. Then again meadows and woodlands, quickly going downhill to S. Bartolo and Serra S. Quirico.
