They are called "ville di delizia" (villas of delight) because they were designed and built, generally from the 16th century onwards, as the nobility country houses. There they could spend holiday periods away from the cities, immersed into nature, since these houses are typically surrounded by large parks. The most reowned in the Groane and Brughiera Briantea Park is Villa Arconati, located in Castellazzo di Bollate.
