What was once an ammunition depot is now a temple of nature. The area has always had a war vocation, since the days of the Kingdom of Italy, when it was used for Austrian troop training exercises. In World War II, the German armed forces settled there. It now houses the headquarters of Groane and Brughiera Briantea Park. In the former site of the Powder Magazine, the woods have taken over from the military posts, which nevertheless remain as a future reminder. It preserves the most valuable environments of the Groane, as it concerns both flora and fauna.
