Parco delle Groane e della Brughiera Briantea

Among the religious buildings that stand out in Lentate sul Seveso are the oratory of Santo Stefano and the small church of Mocchirolo, dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The latter, built in the 14th century, features a characteristic triangular bell tower. The presbytery is adorned with an interesting cycle of frescoes that can be attributed to different artists who lived between the 14th and 15th centuries. The frescoes that completely covered the walls and vault were removed and placed in a small room of the Brera Art Gallery in 1949. All that remains today are a few frescoes that were recently discovered during a restoration work, and a painting by the school of Luini can be seen on the altar.
