La Mandria Park, surrounded by approximately 30 km boundary walls, boasts an important historical-architectural heritage thanks to Vittorio Emanuele II, who transformed it in his hunting lodge. Besides its museums and exhibit areas and the cultural activities of Borgo Castello and other historical sites of La Mandria, the Park is above all a unique "natural" place, where it is possible to live rare or unusual experiences and situations: from the sensations conveyed by places of "silence", "natural smells", and "darkness" to the walks/trekking that can be carried out across the forests or by bike, from the discovery of the wild flora and fauna to the guided tours across the moorland, following the tracks of the undergrowth vegetation on the centuries-old fossil deposits, to the opportunity to grasp the slow rhythm of nature. All this can be experienced through individual visits or special routes reserved to guided visits, or organized scientific activities led by qualified staff. |
