Extra-virgin Olive Oil

According to the production specifications of the extra-virgin olive oil PDO "Umbria Colli Assisi-Spoleto", the variety composition of this product is the following:

  • Moraiolo, characteristic cultivar of Umbria, for no less than 60%;
  • Leccino and Frantoio, on their own or together, for no more than 30%;
  • further varieties, for no less than 10%.

"Frantoi Aperti" is an event born to enhance the culture of the Extra-virgin olive oil PDO "Umbria" together with the other local traditional foodstuffs.

 


The Park area is interested by the Road of Extra-virgin Olive Oil PDO "Umbria". This road is characterized by special markers and crosses places of great historical-cultural interest and strong vocation as far as the oil and wine production is concerned. It also includes vineyards, olive groves, cellars, and oil mills open to the public. In this way, oil tourists and gastronomy tourists will have a chance for a different visit opportunity.
