Identified by the people from Milan since the 19th century as the tout court salami, Brianza Salami must be produced in the homonymous territory including the Provinces of Lecco, Como, and Milan, delimited in the north by the spurs of Mt. Ghisallo, in the south by canal Villoresi, in the east by the riverbed of Adda, and in the west by SS road Comasina.
