The guide collects the descriptions of hikes with the snowshoes, equipped with plenty of pictures leading readers into the wonderful "white microcosm" of the winter Apennine. The guide describes the itineraries from the Parma Valley to the Cedra Valley, from the Val d'Enza to the Liocca Valley, with the mountains of the Cerreto mountain pass (Lunigiana, Parma's side and western area of the Reggio Emilia's Apennine) and it includes extension sheets which will allow the visitors to identify the paw prints left by animals on the snow, or to learn something more about the Apennine's particular climate.
