Via dell'Amore access
(Riomaggiore, 27 Jul 24) From Saturday 27 July to Thursday 8 August 2024 inclusive*, the Via dell'Amore is open to the public exclusively for residents of the Cinque Terre, Levanto, La Spezia, and former residents and owners of second homes in the municipality of Riomaggiore and their families.
Open from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
As of Friday 9 August 2024, access to the Via dell'Amore will also be possible for tourists, by reservation only and subject to payment, with the presence of guides. Access will be limited to a maximum of 400 people per hour, divided into groups of 100 people every 15 minutes (at 00, 15, 30 and 45 minutes of each hour). The entrance for tourists will only take place from Riomaggiore towards Manarola, with a one-way route.
Visiting hours:
From 1 November to 31 March: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm (last admission at 4:30 pm)
From 1 April to 31 October: 8:00 - 19:00 (last access at 18:30)
Visitors:
- Reservation of a specific time slot and date.
- Access during visiting hours only.
- Entry in Riomaggiore and exit in Manarola (high season).
For groups:
- Maximum 30 people.
- Booking up to 72 hours in advance.
- Payment in advance.
- Access during visiting hours only.
- Entrance in Riomaggiore and exit in Manarola (high season)
Tourists staying in accommodation facilities in the municipality of Riomaggiore in possession of the resident tourist card (Guest Card) and staying in facilities with the CETS Environmental Quality Mark (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism):
- Access during visiting hours with reservation and entrance from Riomaggiore.
For residents in the Cinque Terre, former residents and owners of second homes in the municipality of Riomaggiore and their relatives:
- Access always allowed without reservation or ticket.
- Possibility to walk the Via in both directions without time restrictions.
Admission to the Via dell'Amore can be purchased online and on site, only as an additional fee of €10.00 applied to each type of Cinque Terre Card.
It is possible to purchase the Cinque Terre Card, which includes access to the Via dell'Amore:
- On the website of the Municipality of Riomaggiore dedicated to the Via dell'Amore: viadellamore.info
- On the Cinque Terre National Park website: card.parconazionale5terre.it
- At the Cinque Terre National Park Info Points throughout the territory, from La Spezia to Levanto.
*Access arrangements after 8th August for residents of La Spezia and Levanto are being defined by the bodies involved.
