The cultivation of lemons has been carried out in the Cinque Terre since the 17th century. In the past they were known as "citroni", and today they offer a wide range of products. This ancient food, symbol of the territory, found here favorable soil and climate that made it possible not to use chemical additives. Using this "gold of the Cinque Terre" also jams, biscuits, pies, sweets and the lemon liqueur called "limoncino" are produced.
