Along the path 535 Campiglia-Fossola, a few hundred meters past the village of Campiglia, on the left, a detour leads down toward the hamlet of Schiara among abandoned terraces. After crossing a track supposedly part of the old "Via Provinciale", the trail falls steeply with uneven surface through the woods until it reaches some abandoned terraces, now colonized by Mediterranean shrubs, then the cultivated fields around the houses of Costa di Schiara.
The path follows steep in a valley until it reaches the last level stretch before meeting 504 near the church of Sant'Antonio in Schiara.
