It is one of the important routes crossing the watershed Vara-Mare. Coming from Corniglia, the path branches off from Trail 592 ("Sentiero Verde Azzurro", i.e. Green Blue Path) about 250 m far from the village of Vernazza. The route quickly climbs the ridge with panoramic view of the sea, then it keeps going up through partly abandoned vineyards, along the edge of a steep scarp, until it reaches a private road. Turn right and go on to Sella di Comenecco; there, cross the asphalted road (Provincial Road Corniglia) and go up to the hamlet of San Bernardino.
