In Campiglia - which is also an important stop along the AV5T - take Vico Codemin, which begins as a road but soon turns into a track across well-kept terraces (on some of them the Campiglia Association has reintroduced the cultivation of saffron). From the panoramic spot with the wooden bench the path begins to go downhill through a progressively denser wood (evergreen oak) to a carved vertical cliff. Nearby, the track to Schiara (504C) branches off on the left, but the present itinerary follows the main path, slightly downhill, crosses the Schiara dike at a lovely spot in the wood, and reaches the first hairpin bend of the S.Antonio-Schiara tarmac road.
Take the road downhill and leave it at the next hairpin bend; the path's first 150 metres coincide with route No 504. At the Napoleonic fountain of Nozzano (drinkability to be checked) turn left, thus leaving No 504; the oak wood is soon replaced by vineyards. At the next junction take path No 536 to Monesteroli, downhill; at 259m a.s.l. turn right on a very slightly sloping track that leads away from the vineyards and into the wood surrounding the Reboi dike. Cross the dike and, after a short uphill stretch, the path runs on almost flat ground above Fossola and crosses a picnic area. More vineyards are visible while approaching the village of Fossola, then the environment becomes more and more man-made until you reach the centre of the town. Climb the stairway (in common with path 534) then follow the Fossola carriage road. The arrival is on State Road SS370 "Litoranea" by the Park Infopoint just outside the Biassa tunnel.
