Rapporti 10 - Atlante degli Anfibi e dei Rettili del Parco Nazionale Dolomiti Bellunesi
The Atlas, supported by the Ministry for Environment, summarizes the knowledge on the Park's herpetofauna. It is the result of a three-year study carried out by professional herpetologists and the collaboration of over 150 people who have been involved in this citizen science project.
The introductory part, which describes the study area and the investigation methods, is followed by the cards on the 12 species of Amphibians and 12 of Reptiles detected in the Park and in the neighboring areas. Each card contains notes on biology, phenology and habitat, on distribution in Italy, in Veneto and in the Park. The card is completed by a distribution card, an altitudinal distribution diagram and a comparison map between the distribution observed in 1998 (date of publication of the first herpetological atlas of the Park) and the current one.
