State, biology, and ecology of the red deer population in Appennino Tosco-Romagnolo

For a few years the Park has been organizing with the provincial administrations census activities of the local red deer population, involving both the staff of the National Forest Service and many volunteers.
This publication was born from the results of these activities and the wealth of knowledge acquired over the years: it aims at providing an overall view of the main biological and eco-ethological features of the red deer population living in the area.
