From Sulmona you will reach the hamlet of Badia and then the viewpoint on the slopes of Morrone, where a rest area and picnic area are situated. From the viewpoint overlooking the Peligna valley, you can choose to climb to the hermitage of S. Onofrio, or go down to the archaeological site of the Sanctuary of Ercole Curino. The trail for the hermitage, facing south and a little shaded, clambers up along the rocky cliffs zigzagging on steps carved into the rock.
