The trail extends from San Giacomo, a hamlet of Sant'Eufemia, to Roccacaramanico. The start of the route is near a farm campsite; from here it goes into patches of mixed forest and reaches a dryer area, which until a few decades ago, was used a lot by local people for farming and as pastureland. Further downhill there is still the old mill of San Giacomo which, thanks to the force of the water, it would grind grain for the whole village.
