On the northern slope of the Massif of Mt. Plauris, the geological features of the territory have represented for over one century an essential reference point for the activities of a whole community: Rio Resartico mines have been for a long time of the main sources of income for the inhabitants of Resiutta. Today, the hard life of the miners is witnessed by a few ruins and by the galleries dug in the mountain exclusively with the strength of their arms.
Following a trail, we will reach the ruins of the mining village and an unattended but comfortable mountain hut, always open. The initial stretch of the mine, now safe and equipped with the material used by the miners, can be visited only by previous booking and together with a Park tour guide.
