The naturalistic value of the Park is represented by the forest: a mixed oak forest mainly consisting of sessile oaks, pedunculate oaks, and Turkey oaks. The presence of four species of Quercus favors the formation of several hybrids and intermediate plants which are difficult to catalogue. The chestnut tree and black locust tree have always played an essential role in the human activities as firewood, but above all to build vineyard poles. The beech tree has remained from the widespread beech forests at the end of the latest glacial period. The undergrowth includes hazelnuts, ivy, and honyesuckle.
