It is an itinerary of landscape and naturalistic interest along which you can admire the large riverbed and its frame provided by the nearby Prealpi Bergamasche mountains. The historical town centers of Cologno al Serio, Martinengo, and Romano di Lombardia are worth a visit.
As far as the fauna is concerned, it is possible to observe the trusting Hoopoe and the very colored Bee Eater, above all in spring and summer. The resurgences of Cologno al Serio are of particular environmental interest and you can reach them by heading towards the small church of Campino.
They are "nature sanctuaries" within the Lombardy plain, where you can let yourself be "surrounded" by a cool environment thanks to the presence of a rich vegetation and of the water outcropping from the underlying stratum.
