Only 10 km outside of Turin, the Palazzina di Stupinigi was built in the first half of the 18th century by architect Juvarra. The hunting and residence house built for the Savoia family is the nucleus around which the nature park develops. Near the mansion, housing today the Museo d'arte e Ammobiliamento (Art and Furnishing Museum), there is Castelvecchio, an ancient medieval castle which has been well preserved.
