In order to involve schools in issues leading to reflect on the territorial management issues and to receive information about it through the education and training of active citizens and to carry out a research project on and for the territory, for the current school year Trasimeno Lake Regional Park, Comunità Montana - Associazione dei Comuni "Trasimeno - Medio Tevere", together with Soc. Coop. L'Alzavola, coop. Plestina, and Soc. Coop. Sistema Museo, suggest to local schools the possibility to choose a didactic-information route in Trasimeno Lake Park, addressed to pupils of the Kindergartens, Primary, and Secondary Schools. Its main aims remain the knowledge and enhancement of the lake environment, the overcoming of the prejudice of "Protected Area" as a closed and exclusive area to give way to the idea of an area "open" to practical experiences, offering the opportunity to experience the environment as a significant place where relations and interrelations between man and nature develop.
The need to instill into children and kids an aware cultural identity with a strong territorial dimension has led to the need to present again a more complete project above all to those who live in a place where nature and human activities have always lived together and influenced each other and where people are not always aware of the consequences of their actions.
