The upper and middle course of the river Sarca covers more than 50 km starting from the glacial springs to reach Limarò gorge. This long stretch of river crosses three different valleys, passing through alpine landscapes with green pastures, to more hilly areas where the bright colors of the cultivated fields prevail.
Exploring this territory means passing, within a few kilometers, from the famous tourist resorts of Val Rendena to the thermal spa of Comano surrounded by a rural amphitheater of rare beauty that has recently been recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
10 protected areas are connected to each other by the numerous tributaries of Sarca river. Protected areas that together with the adjacent Adamello Brenta Park host sensational natural environments, home to many rare species of flora and shelter for beautiful wild animals. The upper and middle course of the Sarca River Park is therefore a mix of different territories, all to be discovered and which can be explored along the paths along the waterways.
