Quality and importance: the site can be proud of a reasonable amount of endemic species, and a remarkable environmental variability together with an easy accessibility as well, which make it suitable for a didactic use. It is furthermore an area of international interest due to the passage of many long and medium distance migratory species in late summer and in autumn (post-reproduction migration).
Vulnerability: the strong reduction in the pasture's richness, together with the excessive and not very regulated hiking activities can spoil, over the years, the conservation of the now existing delicate vegetation mosaic.
