Riserva Naturale Orientata Foce del fiume Platani

When you get to the mouth of the river Platani, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit the archaeological site on the plateau overlooking the coast of Capo Bianco. The hill preserves, like a casket, the ruins of ancient Eraclea Minoa, a Greek colony probably dating back to the Mycenaean period (6th century), which in the following centuries became a matter of dispute between Siracusa and Carthage.
