The trail, also called "Paolo Fantini", begins along the road SP Tivoli-Marcellina.
A C.A.I. panel, placed near the former trackman's lodge, marks the beginning of the route. In the first stretch you will observe the typical shrubs of the western sides of the Reserve: sweetgum, Christ's thorn, Spanish broom, juniper, phyllirea. After going beyond a fence and a trough, climb on the right by walking along (on your left) a wall under which, looking towards the SP road, you can see a villa of considerable size. If you continue climbing, on the right there is a pine wood deriving from a reforestation activity, while on the left the panorama opens over the Aniene waterfalls, the historical town center of Tivoli and Villa d'Este.
