At the top of the mountain, with a wonderful view over Orta Lake, there is a monumental complex consisting of a monastery, which was built in the 17th century on the ruins of a 14th century castle, and some chapels along a religious procession route. Moreover, the area is particularly interesting from an archaeological point of view for its finds of Celtic origins and material of the Gallic and Roman imperial age. The mountain slopes are rich in vegetation, and in particular in chestnut tree and oak woodlands which need requalification measures for production and landscape aims.
