It is a round and small bean, so small that it seems a pea. It has a white color and particularly thin seed integuments, to the extent that they became almost imperceptible after cooking. The diffusion of this legume dates back to the beginning of the last century, when it was probably introduced from Central America by an emigrant from Colle di Tora area. Since then, this precious bean has been skillfully cultivated by a few local farmers. If moved to other environments, it loses its productive and organoleptic features.
