Transition mire of high flower and plant interest situated near the Lavazé mountain pass, a few steps from the Lavazé peat bogs (SPA and provincial biotope).
It is partially situated over the provincial border with Bolzano, and it is surrounded by spruce and swiss pine forests. The most precious wetland lies in the west, the site's lowest part.
The water supply is guaranteed by two small rivulets that through the forest cross the area of interest from east to west.
