Vegetation is typically xerophile, influenced by the particular climatic conditions of the southwards slopes, lacking in water, presenting dry winds and a large temperature range. Woodlands mainly consist of Downy oaks, Scots pines, and shrubs. The dry slopes house plants of Mediterranean or steppe origins, like the Tuberous Valerian or the Wooly yarrow (Achillea tomentosa).
Tsatelet hill is a very good point for bird watching, especially for some birds of prey and Corvids. During the migration periods it is possible to observe the Buzzard, the Goshawk, the Black Kite, and the Peregrine. The Nature Reserve is also populated by reptiles, small mammals, and numerous insects.
