The Reserve's territory is intact and wild, rich in crystal-clear waters, rocky ridges, impenetrable woods, and in testimonies left by man and his activities as well. A completely empty and silent nature jewel crossed by several paths. An other interesting feature is represented by the signs of the military presence during World War I. This area's ridges hosted the second frontline and witnessed the building of particular military structures, such as high-altitude shelters, defensive structures, small dormitories and tunnel emplacements. Hikes towards the Vuâlt mountain hut, the former military hospital, the Bianchi bivouac and the sources of the river Alba represent an unmissable leg for those who want to know the Reserve's real essence.
