The Local Reserve of Valle Scanderlotti, in the municipality of Garniga Terme, is extremely important for the reproduction of amphibians and for the rare orchids that grow there. The seasonal trend of rainfalls results in the formation of temporary pools of water, near a grove of reeds and a fen.
