| Situated in the south-eastern end of France, next to Piedmont, Mercantour National Park boasts a privileged position between the sea and the mountains, giving the area unique and original features. It is characterized by a variety of landscapes, plants, and animals that you cannot find anywhere else. Mercantour National Park is twinned since 1987 with Alpi Marittime Park: they form together a protected area covering over 100,000 ha which obtained the European Diploma for the Environment in 1993. |
