Flora and Fauna

The geographical position and the significant difference in height of the Biosphere area, between the high peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Lake Garda, favour the presence of a great variety of environments that enclose a high biodiversity, evidenced by plant and animal species typical of both the Alpine and Mediterranean worlds. In particular, there are more than 33 rare plant species and almost 150 protected animal species.
