In the Protected Areas

The main aim of environmental education is to make man, and in particular young people, understand the nature surrounding us, in order to create with it a positive and fair relationship.
According to this purpose, environmental education experiences can take place everywhere, but of course the most significant results are achieved where there are particularly interesting ecological situations, like in the protected areas. Therefore, the role of protected areas is particularly important in promotional, educational, and social terms, and not only as far as the protection of the environment is concerned.
In the Nature Reserves of the Province of Arezzo, the aspects linked to environmental education have been given particular importance; in each protected area didactic and cultural initiatives are suggested to draw adults and children near the world of nature.
