Alta via dell'Adamello (Trail no. 1) is a wonderful trekking route. It crosses the longest section of Adamello Park from south to north (or vice versa), maintaining a correct balance between effort with no great difficulties and accessibility for... everyone (as long as you are well trained) without being boring.
It develops for a little more than 50 km on foot, often on a free ground, far from the concept of "trail" and the itineraries of mass hiking.
A journey to discover an extraordinary and ever-changing world made of many amazing naturalistic phenomena.
It also represents a journey to discover the most recent history, told by the remains of the military settlements of the Great War: trenches, walls, caverns, works that seem imposing, but which have been reabsorbed by nature with its slow but relentless rhythm, minimizing their original meaning.
Severe and gentle at the same time, we can define it a hiking trail for connoisseurs.
