The"glaciological itinerary" prepared by the Park is particularly interesting. This kind of route is unique in Italy, since it allows to "see" the history of the local glaciers in a two-hour walk, guided by a series of illustrated panels.
Where the valley gets narrow, it is possible to admire the so-called Caldaie del Sesia, formations deeply dug by the river over thousands of years.
From the anthropological and cultural point of view, the most significant phenomenon is represented by the 13th century colonization of Alta Valsesia by the Walser people.
