Didactics

The Park Environmental Education Center organizes:

• educational activities for schools at any grade, including both meetings in the classroom and tours and visits in the most charming places of the Park;
• exhibits on environmental education works carried out by the students of the schools of the Park territory;
• refresher courses for teachers;
• training courses, seminars and meetings for schools, enterprises, local authorities.

Tour Guide Service for Hiking and Environmental Activities

The Park Environmental Education Center, with the help of authorized guides, organizes:

• tours for groups, enterprises, and associations in the most charming places of the Park;
• seasonal and thematic tours thanks to the collaboration of experts (The Park Animals, The Park of the Stars...);
• thematic meetings and nights dedicated to projections dealing with environmental, historical, and cultural issues of the territory.

Library and Documentation Center

In the offices of Aveto Park there are a library and a Documentation Center with over 1,000 volumes dealing with environmental and naturalistic issues and about sixty specialized magazines. Flora and fauna, history and local culture, geography and geology, agriculture and environment, Parks and protected areas are the main issues.
A whole section is dedicated to Kids. There are books dealing with nature, ecology, and environment, besides fiction books.
Moreover, there are publications, guidebooks, maps, research works and degree theses regarding the Park territory and a collection of the papers written by the pupils of the local schools, the result of the Environmental Education Program carried out by the Park operators.

The Center is situated in Borzonasca, in the Park headquarters, and is open to the public by previous appointment.

These services are promoted and directed by the Park Authority and their management is entrusted to Cooperative CO.SER.CO. of Genoa, working with the help of authorized guides and qualified environmental educators, chosen among young residents of the Park Municipalities.
