| The large plateau of Marcarolo is situated in the mountain area of the Apennine of Liguria and Piedmont, in the extreme south of the province of Alessandria, and it is geologically linked to the system known as "Gruppo di Voltri". The area of the Park is dominated by the massive pyramid of Mt. Tobbio, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Ligurian Gulf, situated at less than 10 km as the crow flies. The area is particularly interesting for the abundance of watercourses and of wetlands characterizing it. |
