Manifattura dei Marinati collects the traditions and culture of Comacchio, a town that has always been characterized by a deep link with its Valli (lagoons). In autumn, it is possible to observe the whole processing cycle of anchovies, sand smelts, and above all eels, which are prepared in the so-called "Sala Fuochi" (Fire Room) in four main stages: cutting, sticking, cooking, and packaging. Upstairs there is an audiovisual hall where you can watch at videos showing the town and its surrounding territory in the past and giving information on the past life in the lagoons. The historical heritage is witnessed by the several "Maròte" you will find at the entrance of the Visitor Center and inside it: they are characteristic flat-bottomed hatch-boat, with the whole upper surface covered and with holes and slits on the bottom and on the sides.

• Activities: The Visitor Center organizes several activities, like bird watching courses, mycology courses, territory knowledge courses, meetings, booking point for tours in the Park. Moreover, Manifattura dei Marinati is also the Park Service Center and is going to open a Call-center service in association with NaTuRa Museum in Sant'Alberto.

• Services: Food workshop (Slow Food Presidium of Comacchio Lagoons Traditional Eel), with possibility to carry out cooking courses and school.

Accessibility: When the Center is open, is can be visited with an entrance ticket. You can visit the Fire Room, the Calata, and the audiovisual room, while the Vinegar Room and the food workshop are closed to the public. No architectural barriers; the Visitor Center has a lift to reach the first floor (audiovisual hall).
