Frescoes, mosaics and a bell tower that "sees" the sea await you in what was one of the oldest libraries in the world. Do you know that the pentagram was "invented" here? It is one of the most significant examples of Romanesque architecture, founded by the Benedictines in the 6th century. The adjacent Pomposian Museum illustrates the history of the complex.
