Parco del Delta del Po

Near the Campotto Valleys there is the Parish church of S. Giorgio (2 km from Argenta), which probably dates back to the mid-sixth century. It is in exposed brick with a small bell tower. The marble portal of the XII century shows on the sides the allegorical representations of the prevailing and characteristic activities of the individual months of the year and the Martyrdom of San Giorgio in the central lunette. Inside there are traces of ancient frescoes.
