Alviano Castle was built in 996 according to Earl Offredo's will. In the 12th century, the feud of the powerful Alviano family was already born: they reached the height of their power with Bartolomeo, a famous condottiere, Prince of Pordenone, Governor and Lord of Todi. Once Alviano family died out, the castle was purchased by the sister-in-law of Pope Innocent X, donna Olimpia Maidalchini Pamphili. The Museum is therefore dedicated to the life of Condottiere Bartolomeo through tales, arms, and battles.
