The Parko Bike service provides a series of mountain bike rental points operating in the Gesso e Stura River Park area in spring and summer. At La Casa del Fiume, rental service is available all year round, during its opening hours, as well as bicycles for both adults and children, trolleys and trailer bikes. The Parko Bike service was set up with the Integrated Cross-border Plan (PIT) "Spazio Transfrontaliero Marittime-Mercantour" and financed by the Cross-border Cooperation Program Interreg Alcotra 2007-2013.
The maintenance and inflation stations for bicycles, external structures that can be used by anyone who needs to carry out simple repairs on their bicycles, using multiple tools and an inflation pump.
The stations are located at the beginning of Viale degli Angeli downstream of the Sanctuary, upstream of the panoramic lift that connects the municipal swimming pools with the plateau, in the Vallera di Caraglio hamlet, in the area in front of the Certosa di Pesio and in the Montefallonio hamlet of Peveragno. Other Municipalities were also involved, falling within the new cycling itineraries, always identified within the REVAL project.
In front of the Casa del Fiume, near the camper area (piazzale Walther Cavallera - 44°23'07.8"N 7°33'05.2"E), a public bicycle washing machine was installed. Fast and easy to use, it is the ideal solution to get home with the bike as new and without even having to load it in a dirty car! Using it is very easy: just place the bicycle on the platform, select the program, enter the corresponding amount in the coin box and press the corresponding key.
You bring your friends, and we think about the rest: the Park is an ideal place for an outdoor picnic, a few meters from the town center. Recreation areas equipped with tables, benches, and drinkable water are easily accessible on foot or by bike:
The Gesso and Stura River Park has several sports facilities giving the opportunity to practice many disciplines, both in summer and winter.
