Therefore, the Park Authority has at its disposal a building situated at the borders of the protected area, easily accessible also by the public means of transport (train) and on foot from the service areas along the highway, where we will welcome visitors and, in particular, groups of students.
The Visitor Center is situated on the ground floor of the new offices: the exhibit area recalls the forest dominating the Park environment, with four pillars in rough local larch timber and the larch staircase with large steps and squared structure; some showcases house dioramas and several finds (ex. deer's antlers).
New dioramas will include the showcase dedicated to diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey, and the didactic showcase dedicated to the Park avifauna: from Passeriformes to birds of prey and, in the long space under the staircase, the diorama dedicated to the Alpine environment: from high-mountain grasslands (chamois, marmot, grouse) to the forest (roe deer, squirrel, weasel, badger, marten) and the river banks (herons).
Moreover, the Visitor Center welcomes a wonderful wolf specimen.
From the Visitor Center you can reach the projection hall covered with decorative bricks and larch panels; in the hall, you can see some stuffed animals, as well as a series of panels describing the features of the Protected Area.
In the hall there is the reception and the sales point of promotional products.
